Business Marketing - SearchThis is a follow up to my last Business Marketing article.
Once you monitor your conversions you also need to monitor your cost of lead acquisition. The graph below shows the cost of acquisition for one of our clients. The pink columns represent the cost of acquisition of their paid online advertising. The blue columns represent the cost of acquisition for their organic search business marketing.
The graph looks at our performance over a 3 month period. Each column pair is one month. By the end of 3 months their business marketing acquisition costs for organic search was $3.85. This means each lead cost them $3.85! Their average sale value was $5,000. Not a bad return.
