Remember my article on Workchoice (aka Workchoices) back in October 2005? It has ranked no.1 in Google and all major search engines since then. However today the official Govt site went to no.1 and we are now no.2.
The main reason this has happened (apart from me maintaining the ranking) is that with all the extra press coverage leading up to the federal election, the Govt site is receiving more and more backlinks everyday from articles online.
This is why it is a good idea to write articles and submit them to directories as it helps create context sensitive links.
