Google has updated webmaster tools to monitor soft 404s. What's a soft 404? Well it's a bit like being served chicken when you ordered fish. The kitchen was out of fish so they just served chicken, when what they really should have done was told you they were out of fish. Ok I think I just stretched that analogy to breaking point.
