Take advantage of Google changes.

Google has yet again made changes. Today I have a look at one of the changes "options".

This new tool allows you to easily customise your search results. One of the most interesting changes is the ability to look at time based results. There are some good opportunities to not only investigate keywords but also to stay on top of the time based results.

There wasn't enough time today to cover Google snippets & Google squared as well but if you have a shopping cart on your site you should get your developer to at least investigate 'snippets' or else wait for next week's show where I will do a review.

In the meantime watch this week's show.

Google reveals more information for searchers.

I spoke at the "Marketing Now" conference in Wellington NZ last week. I learned heaps. The other speakers were David Meerman Scott (@dmscott on Twitter), Chris Brogan (@chrisbrogan) Stephen Johnston (@huxley) & Sharon Crost (@mktwow).

If you are at all interested in getting an edge in your online marketing efforts I suggest you follow them all on Twitter. Also Siobhan Bulfin (@siobhanbulfin) who organized the conference, is someone that any NZ biz should connect with if they are serious about brand building online.

This week we have a look at changes Google made last week to their SERPs and the opportunities that are there for you to capitalise on and get the edge on your competitors whether you are No.1 for a phrase or not! Watch the show.
