Yellow Pages not being crawled by Google?

Matt Cutts, Google's Senior Engineer explained in his video blog yesterday, why some pages appear in the search results even though you may not want them to. According to Matt Cutts explanation, Yellow Pages seems to be blocking Google from a lot of their pages.

Matt Cutts also released a video today explaining why comment spam is such a bad idea and why they took measures in 2005 to stop it having any positive effect in your rankings.

The previous post on Advertising Marketing & Media Summit 2008  was more about their lack of search content. I just realised though they spammed me! They spammed me last year as well! I just did a quick search of the desktop and found a couple of old emails from 2007 that weresent to an email Spam trap. 

What the..? It's an Advertising and Marketing summit and you're spamming?! No wonder there is bugger all content on the ticket for online marketing. They have no idea. 

Why on earth would I attend a summit on advertising  organised by spammers? It's a bit like going to a Drug War summit organised by junkies! 

Advertising, Marketing and Media Summit Update

Well I did moan and whine about the Advertising Marketing and Media Summit not having terribly much about online marketing and I now rank now 5 for the phrase. In addition to that, by using the key phrases of marketing etc it increases the overall keyword density of the site for those related phrases.

I'll also post a video in a second to see what sort of traction that will have for the phrase.
