A lesson in online marketing

Government loses traction in Search Engines

Melbourne, Victoria - Oct 21, 2005 Stew Art Media posted one article on their website last week about the Government's online marketing of their WorkChoice policy. They now dominate the search engines for people searching for information on WorkChoice.

Stew Art Media have over 80 WorkChoice references in the major search engines to the Federal Government's 11 references. Stew Art Media is ranked number one in Yahoo and NineMSN for the word WorkChoice and number three in Google and it took thirty minutes work and 355 words to achieve.

"We wanted to demonstrate to our clients how with a few simple techniques they could raise their profile in the search engines" said Stew Art Media's Managing Director Jim Stewart "We wrote an article on our website that pointined out some of the online marketing opportunities that seemed to have been missed by the Government. The result was our website shot to the top of the search engines in 24 hours for people searching for Workchoice information" Common Internet Marketing Mistakes "Most businesses spend thousands of dollars on building and maintaining their websites but spend little on making sure that their sites are getting ranked in the search engines." said Jim Stewart.

"Usually there are a few common errors, such as the search engines not being able to find your content. Something that can be fixed quickly and easily." Stew Art Media is now also ranked first in most of the major search engines for: WorkChoice, WorkChoice Website, WorkChoice Australia, Howard's WorkChoice and Workchoice Industrial Relations Policy. Mr Stewart went on to say "With 70% of Australians regularly getting online, we were very surprised that online marketing opportunities had been missed by all sides involved in the Workchoice debate."
