About Us

Stew Art Media began in 1998. We provide Streaming Media Content development and streaming hosting including live webcasts.  

In 2001 we began providing search marketing services which has now become the main activity of our business.

The streaming services we provide can vary greatly depending on your requirements. However having great content is no guarantee to being found on the web which is why we also provide Search Engine Optimisation services. This is the practice of getting your web site found  in the search engines.

'Google Guru'

Jim Stewart - Chief Executive Officer

Jim bought his first computer in 1983 started using the Internet in 1992 and became an Internet Consultant in 1995.

His expertise in the online space has been greatly sought after by both private enterprise and the public sector. He was the senior consultant behind some of Australia's first corporate websites including the RACV and the 1995 TV Week Logie Awards. In 1996 he was the project lead on Australia's first commercial VoIP project and consulted on a number of other leading edge projects.

In 1998 he formed Stew Art Media to focus on the emerging area of rich media on the Internet. He subsequently consulted to national broadcasters in Pakistan, Malaysia, Fiji, Sri Lanka and Brunei on streaming media.

 From 1998 to 2001 he produced and presented a daily video technology news show called IOB CoffeeBreak which was syndicated to Yahoo!, AOL (US), Real Networks (US), Microsoft Windows Media Guide (Aust.), Optus@Home (Broadband), Seek and ZD Net (Aust). It had over 50,000 viewers per month from 23 different countries. At the same time Jim was also a regular contributor to TTalk.com, a US based Internet Radio Technology Show.

From 1997 to 2002 Jim could be heard regularly on ABC Radio (Gael Jennings and Peter Clarke) as the Internet consultant and he has also appeared on Network 10's The Panel, Channel 9's A Current Affair and he has written for Australian Personal Computer Magazine.

He has spoken at Networld Interop on emerging technologies and most recently ran a Digital Rights Management workshop for the mobile device industry at Mobile Content World in Sydney May 2005.

 Jim has been the Systems Architect and Streaming Producer for over 200 live webcasts of such music acts as, Melissa Etheridge, Gene Simmonds, Black Eyed Peas, Anastascia, Youthu Yindi and actors including Rik Mayall, Molly Ringwald and Sean William Scott. Stew Art Media's current clients include Multimedia Victoria, Department of Industry, Innovation and Regional Development, Department of Victorian Communities and Metricon Homes.

Roberta Stewart - Chief Operating Officer

Roberta’s 20 year Advertising Sales and Marketing career in traditional newspapers is an ideal fit with Search Engine Marketing and Google Adwords.She has managed numerous successful advertising campaigns,marketing campaigns and sales teams over many years and applies the same high level of customer service to ensure ongoing and cost effective successful campaigns for our clients.

Roberta has been working in the online space since 1999 and is responsible for the day to day operation of Stew Art Media.

SEO Strategist Cameron Bailey

Cameron Bailey - Search Engine Optimisation Strategist

Cameron purchased his first computer with the money earned as a child model for Target, Myer and Ferrari Fashions Bridal Wear. He bought a Commodore 16, the poor cousin of the Vic 20 and Commodore 64, his first case of "technology envy".

Cameron has worked in video production since he was 16 and moved that knowledge online in 1999 while working at Whoopi! Ltd While working at Whoopi! he produced more hours of content for the Internet than any other Australian, being producer of upto 5 daily shows, 3 weekly shows and upwards of 15 live webcast a months with music artists such as Hanson, Kiss, Savage Garden and the Black Eyed Peas.

As a freelance video producer Cameron has been involved in producing work for a range of online, broadcast TV and Pay TV productions. He has been involved in many live Outside Broadcasts (OB's) including the Hillsong Today program recorded for international audience broadcast out of the ACER arena in NSW, The World Youth Day live coverage for Italian TV.

Most recently Cameron project managed the successful installation of the $2.1million upgrade to the NMIT TV studio, including overseeing the tendering process, delivering within budget and tight time deadlines. The TV studio has been described by industry professionals as "not just the best TV studio they have seen in the educational sector but one of the best TV studio they have seen period". While at NMIT Cameron was also responsible for managing the renovated TV studio, building strong relationships with the TV, and pay TV, broadcast sector to the mutual benefit of both organisations.

Cameron has worked as a trainer throughout his various roles, he has a unique ability to take difficult technical topics and explain them in easy to understand language.

Michelle Davis - Business Development Manager

Michelle has over 20 years experience in sales and marketing working with organisations such as Vogue Conde Nast, Murdoch Magazines and the Australian Radio Network.



Annette Clamp - Office Administrator

Annette has a strong background in customer service, office administration and book keeping, including 10 years in the banking industry and 7 years for a local manufacturing company


Nicholas Young - Work experience Guy/Freelance Young Gun

In Year 10 at St Joseph's College, Nick Young has chosen to come work at Stew Art Media for a week, to see how things are done here.

Nick did such a great job we ask him back from time to time to work on special projects.


Joel Krigsman - SEO Developer

With a background in video production and graphic design, Joel is currently completing his final year studying Multimedia, Business Marketing at Swinburne University of Technology.

Joel has developed many web sites over several years and basks in the challenges of SEO.

Joel is a creativity junkie and a self-confessed nerd. He loves reading articles about web design, usability and the latest design trends from industry leaders.

in his spare time, Joel enjoys basket weaving and sharpening pencils.




ZiJing (Jine) Wu - SEO Developer

Jine has been in Australia about four years. She graduated from Monash University, after that she went back to China as a ASP developer for half year. But she still prefers living in Australia and is eager to work in IT industry, so she came back to Australia and had chosen to work at Stew Art Media to start her career in Australia.



Michael Ryan - Trainee in Systems Administration.


Michael is undergoing a traineeship at stew art media for 2010, he has undergone previous work experience in the web industry working at Internet Vision Technologies. He also attended school at St. Francis Xavier College, participating in the state's ICT high achievers program .At Stew Art Media Michael is undertaking training in his role as a systems administrator to further his knowledge in the IT industry.
